Three days training on Water Quality Monitoring and Village Water Security/ Safety Plans -organised by CCDU
– Communication and Capacity Development Department of PHE, I&FC J&K State organized three days training programme on Water Quality Monitoring and Village Water Security/ Safety Plans on the guidelines of National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) in association with Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) Hyderabad at Irrigation Guest House, Rajbagh Srinagar w.e.f. 5th March to 7th March 2017. Saurabh Bhagat, IAS Secretary PHE, I&FC Department were present on concluding day 7th of March 2017 who stressed the need to organize such training programmes based on latest technology and also directed the department to organize advance training programmes for Higher Official outside the state and also distributed certificates among participants. 63 number of participants were present from all over the Kashmir Division. The main objective of this programme is to impart training to the Engineers of PHE Department for developing their professional skills and sensitize them according to their needs and latest technology for making Water Security and Safety Plan for different water supply schemes in rural area and also about Social Mobilization and Rain Water Harvesting, so that potable drinking water is assured on sustainable basis to every household of J&K.
Further the programme was inaugurated by Er. G M Bhat, Chief Engineer PHE department Kashmir in presence of Er. Rajeev Malhotra Executive Director CCDU and officers of PHE Department Kashmir on 5th of March 2017. Other present on the occasion is G.D. Ojha Head, Water Resource Management (Course Director), ESCI Hyderabad and other staff of CCDU PHE Kashmir.
